Gu Haidong, male, Han nationality, was born in September 1966. He is a Party member and holds a Master’s degree.
He is responsible for the regular work of Suzhou Municipal People’s Government; being in charge of the work concerning development and reform, emergency management, statistics, taxation, finance, State-owned assets supervision and administration, administrative examination and approval, government affairs service management, administrative transparency, government offices administration, food and strategic reserves, energy and realization of the carbon peak and carbon neutrality objectives, the Yangtze River Delta regional integration (construction of the YRD integration demonstration zone and the northward expansion of the Hongqiao international commerce hub), major projects, industrial planning, digital economy, service industry, collaboration between the eastern and western regions, counterpart support and cooperation, and cooperation of Suzhou with cities in northern Jiangsu; assisting in charge of the work concerning finance and audit.
He oversees the work of the General Office of Suzhou Municipal People’s Government, the Development and Reform Commission, the Emergency Management Bureau, the Administrative Examination and Approval Bureau (Government Affairs Office), the Research Office of Suzhou Municipal People’s Government, the Government Offices Administration, the Statistics Bureau, and the Food and Strategic Reserves Bureau, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, Suzhou International Development Group Co., Ltd, Suzhou Newcity Investment and Development Co., Ltd, Suzhou Asset Management Co., Ltd, Bank of Suzhou, Soochow Securities Co., Ltd, and Soochow Life Insurance Co., Ltd; assisting in charge of the Finance Bureau and the Audit Bureau.
He is in charge of liaison with the Taxation Bureau, the Suzhou Investigation Team of the National Bureau of Statistics of China, Suzhou Central Branch of the People’s Bank of China, Suzhou Branch of China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC), the Suzhou offices of various financial institutions, Suzhou Power Supply Company, and the Suzhou Firefighting and Emergency Rescue Brigade.
